Workspace for email

It is estimated that Google has a solid lock on the market share of email open rates with a whopping open email rate of 26 percent. This might have something to do with the element of Google’s longevity, having been around since 2004 and home to 1.2 billion users. It also has a lot to do with the product that they offer.

Today, Google is no longer just a free gmail account that you can check from anywhere. It’s a solution for business that has outperformed any other free email or suite solution on the market.

One tool that Google offers now is Google Workspace.

Learn the top 10 benefits of using Google Workspace right here, and streamline your business today.

1. Customized Workspace

Google Workspace is so appealing to so many businesses today because it completely customizes your work life and the life of everyone that you work with, in minutes. Google Workspace allows you to create an instant brand.  Gone are the days of sending pitches, bids, or sales calls under the email@gmail.com look. That just doesn’t feel professional, does it?

Google has recognized this need for an easy to use fully integrated and fully customized workspace. So they have developed this tool that allows you to create your own brand using email, without having to work with a dedicated server company. An email domain that corresponds with the name of your company or organization allows you to look more professional in minutes.

2. Increases Productivity

Productivity improves when you are on email. Google Workspace puts everything you need at your fingertips. You don’t need to keep 25 windows from different apps and software suites open at the same time. Open up Google, access your Drive, your Images, your Sheets, everything, with just a few clicks. Share, plan, produce, with one Workspace at your fingertips.

3. Store it All Here

Google Workspace not only offers a customized brand for your email domain, but it offers you the opportunity to use a completely scalable interface. This allows you to tailor your own storage space to exactly what you need. You can do this using general Gmail, but with a branded domain on your email account, you will never be scrolling through emails looking for that work document in between your pet food order again. Everything is stored in one place. Keep your business here, and the rest of your life elsewhere.

4. Log in Anywhere

One of the reasons Google has amassed billions of users is that it has made itself available as a web-based email that can be checked anywhere. If you are in Florida one day and Florence the next, you can check your email using a device in any country in the world. Google makes logging in simple and fast with one sign-in.

5. Never Miss a Thing

Along with having a branded email, Google Workspace will sync everything you need with your branded domain to ensure you never miss a thing. Google Workspace allows you to both sync your gmail.com email with your Workspace email so that you don’t have to check multiple accounts multiple times. At the same time, sync your Calendar to make sure that you never miss a thing. You won’t miss anything, and your employees won’t either. When they submit a personal day request, for example, you’ll get it instantly. Not only will you get that benefit, but so will they.

6. Communicate to Everyone Seamlessly

Communicating to the team simultaneously is something you can do with gmail.com, but it will just take more time. If you need to tell people that you are out of the office or are arranging a meeting, you can do so in just a few clicks and the time it takes you to set up the meeting or send the email.

7. Instant Access to Business Solutions

Using Google Workspace allows you to seamlessly integrate branded business needs, but it also provides you with a few more business solutions than the gmail.com service does. Along with Google Workspace and a branded email solution, you get Google Meet, Google Chat, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Keep, a notes application that can handle almost any file you sent it to.

Google Workspace gives you instant access. While you may get most of these features using gmail.com, you won’t get them all. If you have a business need, Google has developed a business solution in Google Workspace.

8. It’s Affordable

Google Workspace plans begin at approximately $6 a month per user, which is one of the biggest reasons that it is so popular today. You won’t get an email on a dedicated server for less money than that. The higher-tier programs run at $12 a month and that gives you more storage. Still more affordable than a dedicated server.

9. No Ads Email

The one disadvantage of a free email server is the constant ads. When you pay a few dollars a month for an email server, you lose that entirely. Gone are the days where you see ads showing up in your emails that match something you typed about yesterday. You are now working from a branded Workspace without the distractions of ads.

10. Supported by Every Operating System

When you have a dedicated server hosting your emails, you still need to be sure your employees can meet succinctly in a remote space, or collaborate in a way that is seamless. This gets clunky when you have both PC and Mac employees. You don’t need to worry if your Google-based applications are going to be supported by your employees. You’re all working on the same cloud now, and Google Docs or Google Sheets in a Google Meet can all be viewed easily without a single complaint from anybody.

Switch to Google Workspace Today

For just a few dollars a month you can switch to Google Workspace and help everybody improve their productivity today. You’ll get instant access to fully integrated and fully scalable solutions that offer more of everything, for very little.

Switch today and see the difference. It’s not a solution you have to stick with if you don’t like it.

  • I had never heard of Google Workspace prior to reading this post, however I have used Microsoft 365 that offers similar options that you mentioned for Workspace. It gives you access to all the Microsoft products and allows you to save them to one place, as well as access to the email portion and the ability to place documents in a shareable space. After having used Microsoft 365 and now knowing about Google Workspace, I wish my former employer would have used the Google version. I absolutely hated Microsoft 365. It wasn’t too difficult to navigate, but when there are so many files spread out in multiple folders, they become difficult to find.
In addition to the access to Google Drive, I like the feature of making an email domain through Google versus going through another site. I also like that you can have access to the various Google products, which Microsoft 365 does not offer.

  • I put off using google workspace for years until a friend of mine talked me into it. Still, I was not too fond of it and seldom used it until I had to. I have an Apple, and their programs do. Not always work with PC programs. Google workspace makes it easy for me to convert excel documents, word documents, and other documents into files I can open. Google workspace also lets me convert documents so people who have PCs can open them. I have pages, but even when I export as word doc, it will change parts of the document that wasn’t compatible. This is the reason I like Google’s workspace so much. My web host does not give me an email address for my website, so I use one through google with my domain name. I highly recommend using Google for business needs.

  • We recently switched from Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace and I’m glad we did. We have been able to get more cloud storage space for files at a smaller price than we could on 365. Many things on the platform are very straightforward, and we have overall been happy with the change.
My one and only complaint is some of the functionality when it comes to Gmail. The email platform makes it difficult to sort mail and you have to use search workarounds sometimes to find what you are looking for. We are planing on resolving this by using a desktop email application.

  • Having a branded email address is always good but google is the best. I always use google for my business I love the tools they have to I especially love the email address setup they offer I am able to give my reps their own business email address.

  • Hi Taylor,

I love Google’s features and Google Workspace is a great small business option. There is a learning curve for those who are not familiar to Google, but it does make collaborating much easier. Being able to chat about a spreadsheet while you’re on the spreadsheet is wonderful! It makes communicating with those who are online so much easier. It would be better if there was a notification or alert when a message comes through in chat for a spreadsheet though. I don’t think there is one currently, so I end up missing messages or messaging but the person online doesn’t see my messages because they have to click to open the message window versus it opening up when a message comes through (which would be annoying if the person was working on something, so I get why that isn’t the solution).

  • While I agree that Google offers a lot of both free and inexpensive benefits, does it offer any protection for businesses that sign up for this Workspace service? Google is becoming very sneaky about sending legitimate emails to the junk folder where the gmail recipient won’t see them without searching the entire inbox (even those from addresses on “safe” lists and subscriptions), or it simply won’t deliver certain emails at all (in either direction, effectively “losing” them in cyberspace). In the current Cancel Culture climate, many of the giant service providers are even going so far as to terminate users’ accounts without warning or explanation due to vague and ever-shifting guidelines. What protections does Google and Gmail offer to paying Workspace users that their accounts won’t be terminated simply because the corporation doesn’t like the users’ views? I think a follow-up blog discussing this topic would be beneficial to business owners who might be contemplating signing up for the Google Workspace service.

  • I completely agree with your opinion on Google Workspace! It has definitely made a huge difference in our business and our sales team’s productivity. I really enjoy using it because there are no generic ads being forced on my clients, and we can easily sync all of our communications between different accounts.

When I say it’s made a tremendous difference in the way we work today, I’m not joking! Google is by far one of the best sources out there for small business owners, and all its tools are beneficial in one way or another.

  • Hello Taylor,

Google Workspace is a great tool for any business or web marketers. I’ve always loved using it for business purposes. It’s much more professional for client and work purposes also. It’s a small cost, that does a lot to make your work-life way easier! For anyone that works a busy lifestyle, constantly getting emails, this service is completely worth it. Filtering out ads is the highlight for me. And you won’t miss a thing because you’re able to combine all of your emails into one domain. It’s obvious why Google holds such a large portion of the email user market.

  • Google workspace was the first product I tried and I liked it but I’m always curious to see if there is something better. I tried other emails and workspaces even the one connected to my wesbite creator square space but ultimately decided to go back to google workspace. For someone not technology oriented it was easy to navigate, affordable and offered so many features in one place. The ease of logging in anywhere is beyond beneficial I’m an on the go mom and need to be able to do business from anywhere and google workspace offers this. The creativity power is necessary too as I commented on the enneagram book review I’m a perfectionists so pre planned out things by others with no wiggle room for creativity is never a good move for me. I think the last benefit that also resonates would be affordability. I have a lot of programs and etc only for that make my business run and I’m still building consistent clientele so I don’t have a bunch of money to throw in every program that says it’s beneficial. Google is trusted and has been there and delivers seamlessly and it’ll definitely be what I stick with. They continue to offer marketable options to business owners and there’s a reason they still remain at the top.

  • Plus points to Google Workspace for affordability and flexibility. You don’t have to spend so much on domains and hosting, and you just have to pay for what you need. As the team/company grows, then you can pay for more rather than pay for a package that won’t see much use because of a small number of employees.

I also like how you can buy more storage and allocate it to whoever needs it. Not everyone in my team needs the huge storage space, so I have the option to buy more specifically for who needs and uses it the most.

  • I have had a Gmail account for YEARS and I honestly appreciate this workspace idea that they have come up with. As a small business owner, I prefer to have a more professional email than one with @gmail.com at the end. It just feels and seems like I am not invested in my company when I have @gmail.com at the end. I also can appreciate that everything is in one space through the workspace. I am constantly on google sheets, docs, and Google Drive in general! Google really will always be a giant that will continue to grow.

  • Google is always coming out with the latest and greatest it seems. Out of all the websites I’ve started and domains I have bought, I always hated having that @gmail.com at the end of my email on a page. It almost shows that your not willing to go the extra length and do what it takes to make it look professional. It looks so sloppy. I gladly pay the extra anytime I can get a custom email. Customers pay attention to things like that. I know I do. Thanks.

  • This article serves as a perfect reminder of Google’s power and greatness in the marketing industry. Google is the market leader, and software like this workspace benefits web marketers, such as myself!
